Beverly A. Bishop, 80, of Mt. Zion passed away Friday July 8, 2011 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield with her family by her side.
 
Services to celebrate Beverly’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday July 12, 2011 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Mt. Zion with Rev. Joel Stevenor officiating. Visitation will be Monday July 11, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Mt. Zion. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery.
 
Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church
 
Beverly was born on June 7, 1931 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Melvin and Hilda Williams Boliek. She married Worth “Bill” Bishop on August 27, 1949. Beverly worked for A. E. Staley and the Wabash Credit Union. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church where she was the longest female member of the church. Beverly loved her family and was an avid golfer and bridge player.
 
Beverly is survived by her loving husband Bill; sons Randy Bishop of Carbondale and Steve Bishop of Mt. Zion; two grandchildren Amy Greuel and husband Dan and Colin Bishop; two great grandchildren Morgan and Elliot; one brother Daniel Boliek of Tempe, AZ.
 
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Paul Boliek.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Beverly was always a joy and always had a smile on her face. What a wonderful and witty woman. We enjoyed spending time with her and Bill at all of CJ's ball games they came to. She will be truly missed.
